Desktop Support Analyst

Rife is seeking candidates for the position of a Desktop Support Analyst.  This position is based in Calgary and reports directly to the Manager of Information Services. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for providing first line application and desktop support for a 140 users in our Calgary and Field locations.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for supporting desktop applications and working with end-users and vendors to troubleshoot application issues on Windows 10 desktop and Citrix Server, desktop builds, printer maintenance and remote connectivity
  • Applying fixes as required and documenting resolutions/changes.Applications include CS Explorer, Qbyte FM, Fieldview Avocet Capture, Synergy and Powervision
  • To assist the System Administrator as needed for daily operational activities and special projects such as inventory and office moves
  • Working with consultants for special projects such as application upgrades
  • Application testing and backfilling when the System Administrator is not on site
  • Provide status updates to the IT Manager for ongoing issues and time estimates for specific projects
  • Travel to field sites periodically

Qualifications

  • 2 years Windows 10 experience
  • 1 year Windows 2016 Active Directory and Citrix experience
  • Microsoft Certifications and Oil and Gas applications an asset
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability
  • Strong communication skills
  • Customer service orientated
